Banana Smoothie with Yoghurt, Honey + Bee Pollen, the perfect Winter smoothie to boost your immune system!
Don’t we all spend most of Winter trying to avoid getting sick or trying to get rid of a lingering cough or kid’s runny nose! This smoothie was designed as an added fight against all those germs with the added superfood bee, pollen.
Bee pollen is a pollen ball packed by worker honey bees into an edible little pellet and is collected from hives. It has a sweet honeycomb flavor and is perfect when added to smoothies to help boost your immune system and energy levels, improves skin and is a source of antioxidants. Start with very small amounts as this is a condensed form of pollen made by bees, so could cause serious allergies. I started the kids with just one tiny ball at a time and don’t go above 1 teaspoon in a day.
This smoothie made with raw honey, bananas and bee, pollen is the perfect recipe to fight off cold and flu viruses, boost your kid’s energy in the morning and keep them feeling full for longer and it’s so easy to make!
